Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is caused by a new strain of Coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) discovered in 2019 and not previously identified in humans. Common symptoms  include fever, cough, and shortness of breath. On March 11, the World Health Organization (WHO) announced the current COVID-19 outbreak as a pandemic. Currently there are more than 681 million confirmed cases globally (data from March 9, 2023).

As 2022 comes to an end, let us look back at our group's highlights and achievements in the last year. Special thanks to all of you - our authors, editors, peer reviewers, and consumers.

In vitro fertilisation (IVF) is generally considered the most advanced treatment option, and is recommended in many cases, regardless of the cause of subfertility.

Pandemics impact upon the ability to deliver specialist assessment and treatments. Examples of treatments that commonly continue during pandemics include non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), antifibrinolytics, combined hormonal contraceptives, and progestogen.
